What is ZS-Cement Accelerator?

ZS-Cement Accelerator is an admixture added to cement, mortar, and concrete. It accelerates the cement hydration reaction, significantly shortens setting time, speeds up early strength development, and allows the mixture to solidify and harden quickly. It is often used in projects requiring tight deadlines, operating at low temperatures, or for emergency repairs.

How Does It Work?

ZS-Cement Accelerator dissolves in mixing water and works synergistically in three ways:

Accelerating Hydration Reaction: It lowers the activation energy of cement particle hydration, accelerating the reaction rate of minerals such as tricalcium silicate and tricalcium aluminate with water, generating a large amount of hydration products in a short time.

Providing Crystal Nucleus Induction: Ions dissociated from the accelerator can act as hydration nuclei, promoting rapid precipitation and growth of hydration products and avoiding the slow nucleation process.

Accelerating Structural Formation: It rapidly generates substances such as ettringite and hydrated calcium silicate gel, causing crystals to quickly interlock and form a continuous rigid framework, significantly shortening initial and final setting times.
