ZS-Concrete Enhancer
1. Product Introduction
What is ZS-Concrete Enhancer?
ZS-Concrete Enhancer is a specialized functional liquid admixture that can directly reduce the total amount of cementitious materials (cement + fly ash + mineral powder) while maintaining a fixed water-cement ratio, unchanged concrete slump, and no decrease in 28-day compressive strength.
How Does It Work?
I. Physical Dispersion:
When cement, mineral powder, and fly ash are mixed with water, the particles clump together to form a flocculated structure, trapping a large amount of free water. Some of the cementitious materials cannot participate in hydration and remain idle. The organic components of the enhancer adsorb onto the surface of cementitious particles, generating electrostatic repulsion, breaking up the flocculation, releasing the trapped water, and allowing the original cementitious materials to fully exert their binding capacity.
II. Chemical Activation:
The enhancer catalyzes the hydration of cement clinker minerals, accelerating the hydration rate of tricalcium silicate and dicalcium silicate, improving cement utilization. It also activates the vitreous activity of fly ash and slag, destroying the inert silica-alumina coating layer, and promoting the secondary hydration of calcium hydroxide produced by admixtures and cement hydration, generating C-S-H gel and ettringite. The waste residue is transformed from inert filler into an effective cementitious material.

5. Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How is the optimal dosage determined? Do we need new equipment?
A: The recommended dosage is 1000g – 3000g per ton of cementitious material. The specific dosage is determined through trial mixing based on cementitious material compatibility and concrete strength grade requirements. No new storage tanks or metering pumps are needed; a small metering pump can be added to the existing admixture system. Our technical team can assist in conducting industrial trials to determine the optimal economic dosage for your plant.
Q: Are the chloride ion and alkali contents high enough to cause issues?
A: No. ZS-Concrete Enhancer strictly controls Cl⁻ (≤0.1%) and R₂O (≤1.0%) indicators. Each shipment comes with a quality inspection report. It is low in alkali and chlorine and will not cause preheater scaling, corrosion, or blockage.
Q: Is ZS-Concrete Enhancer compatible with polycarboxylate superplasticizers? Will it cause bleeding or abnormal setting?
A: ZS-Concrete Enhancer is compatible with all polycarboxylate superplasticizers on the market. They can be added separately without antagonism. It is low in alkali and chlorine (chloride ions ≤0.1%), does not accelerate setting too quickly, and does not delay setting excessively. It can improve common problems of bleeding, slump loss, and segregation in the original mix design. It complies with national standard JC/T 2469 and comes with a third-party test report.
Q: What are the main components of ZS-Concrete Enhancer?
A: ZS-Concrete Enhancer is a liquid product primarily composed of organic alcohol amines, supplemented by functional admixtures. It is generally brownish-transparent, odorless, and does not harm human health or the workability of concrete. Shelf life is 6 months.
Q: Does Shengchuan have real case studies for this product?
A: Yes. At a Nanning batching plant, adding 0.6% enhancer improved 28-day strength by 14% (from 42.6 to 48.5 MPa) with equal mix design. At another Nanning plant, cement usage was reduced by 25kg/m³ (9.1%) while 28-day strength increased by 8%. Both cases demonstrate significant cost savings with enhanced concrete performance.
